What are the methods used to grow hydroponics?

There are two common features used for growing hydroponics: (1) nutrients are supplied in liquid solutions; and (2) plants are supported by porous material, such as peat, sand, gravel, or glass wool, that acts as a "wick" in relaying the nutrient solution from its source to the roots.

Where is hydroponics being used?

Hydroponic culture methods are being used successfully to produce plants out of season in greenhouses and to produce plants in areas where either the soil or the climate is not suitable for the crop grown.
